El alambre de aluminio es el de uso más extendido entre los aficionados. Aporta importantes ventajas frente al de cobre. Se puede utilizar en todo tipo de especies, incluyendo caducos y árboles de corteza delicada como azaleas y acebuches. Es dócil y sencillo de poner.
También se puede utilizar en coníferas, especialmente en los primeros modelados que requieran torsiones fuertes. En este caso la ventaja está en su ductilidad, que permite modelar las ramas más libremente y crear formas más pronunciadas y dinámicas.
Este aluminio presenta ventajas estéticas frente al clásico alambre japonés. La más obvia es el precio (10€ menos por kilo) y la otra es su color. Nuestro alambre de aluminio profesional es muchísimos más discreto, sin perder por ello el resto de las cualidades del alambre japonés.
Además, disponemos de más calibres, llegando por arriba a los 8mm y por abajo a los 0.8mm. Seguro que os ha pasado que alambrando sabinas o cualquier otro árbol con brotes muy delgados el alambre de 1mm todavía se os haga grueso. Eso es un problema porque el alambre japones no dispone de calibres inferiores. Nuestro alambre profesional baja hasta los 0.8mm y eso es mas que interesante.
